Hi all.
The OH has an R53 absolutely standard at the moment. Looking to do a few mods to make it a bit more fun.
A quick Google suggests a smaller pulley, remap and exhaust is the done thing ( I have spent my time fiddling with Subarus so dont know Minis).

who are the recommended companies to deal with? which products to go for etc.
If we got it up to about 200bhp are thing slike the gearbox or bottom end going to fall apart or are they safe like this? its on about 60k at the mo.

Thanks for any help.

Grs intercooler, one ball exhaust mod, dave f or jcw airbox and a set of plugs should see you around 200. No need for a remap.

I'd advise on changing the supercharger oil before you reduce the supercharger pulley.

The engine and gearbox will easily take 200bhp, especially with 60k.

1320 or Lohen are good specialists, but are quite far from you.

Change it or just top it up? Guessing the best way to drain the oil if changing would be to have some way of sucking it out via a tube?

Try PowerHouse

ebay.co.uk item 160669165243

Go on mini torque., great forum.

1320 mini are meant to be great, orranje sell parts, loads of tuners.

15% pulley, orranje stealth air box (basically a dave f) cold plugs and belt will set you back around £250 and will give decent gains, best bang for buck.

Above 15% pulley, you need a bigger top mount inter-cooler.
Injectors, exhaust etc. to follow, then cams etc.

1320mini all the way dealt with them for years from pulley changes to a full on engine swap and turbo conversion.

In your position I'd go 15% pulley, air box and a GRS or GP intercooler. I'd also dyno it with the afr being measured
