Drive shaft replacement

I think a drive shaft is eating itself on Mrs Cooper S Convertible. Is this something I can replace easily enough myself or should I get the local indy to do it for me? I am handy enough with a spanner...

i couldn't do it
the main issue for me was getting the ball joint out.
I also had seized track rod ends which didn't help.

the stake nut on the end of the shaft is an absolute bh
don't try it with the car jacked up and the wheel off, especially if you don't have someone to put their foot on the brake, instead pop the cap badge off the wheel in place, ensure the lock tab is fully bent out and expect a fight
