06 R50 Mini One

Bought a Mini One for my son, 06 plate 103K with tatty bodywork, service history. private sale £1850.

On the trip home it over heated (someone had bodged it with liquid copper which was obvious once the coolant was all gone). Local garage have tested it and it looks like a cracked head.

So....we think the cheapest way to fix it is to put a replacement engine in. So I need a good One/Cooper engine with lowish mileage to replace the one in the car. Any suggestions on the best place to get one from?

Breakers and eBay are probably your only sources for the engines. £300- £400 seems the going rate.

Thanks for the infor, looks like Ebay is the way to go on this.
