Hi guys,
I am considering a MINI as per the above. I am a newbie with these cars but I understand the power outputs changed over the years, would the 2008 kit mean the pre facelift car would have 210bhp?

Also if I was looking at a good condition one of these cars with around 70-80k miles on a 53'plate what would it be worth?

Thanks in advance.

The 2003 and 2008 cars are completely different, parts are not interchangeable

As above ..... 2003 Cooper s is a supercharged engine, post 2007 is a Turbo, you can get a Turbo conversion done at 1320 mini, but its not the jcw kit parts.

I think the op is talking about the JCW 210 kit, which is still available to buy. The convertible was still in production, so can be confusing. You can get more power by buying some parts differently, but the JCW 210 airbox can only be bought with the kit. Actually the kit is pretty good value, as you get this airbox, the JCW exhaust, a new cylinder head, and a new supercharger, it's just that so many people don't see the value when the car bought now, is less than the kit in some cases. It depends how you put value on cars. If you have the right base car, it still makes sense if you're not tuning for more than this.
