Maybe common knowledge out there but i've been looking around at remapping of the 192BHP Cooper S engine.

Evolve now have a remap - appliable at home by you via the OBD port and their software on your laptop that takes your 192BHP engine to a quite staggering 291BHP >biggrin

£655 - doesnt seem out of the way price wise, given the power boost.

Evolve are well respected by all accounts, Manic seem to need stage 2 to get to those figures. I'd be tempted to go with Evolve if i had an F series Mini.

Yes, i'll be keeping an eye on that. I've a new F56 Cooper S on order - i dont think i'd be wise to remap it to that level while still under warranty.

That does seem a lot!

When I had my 328i, the most a stage 1 remap would see was 290BHP from 245BHP. The 320i which has slightly different internals, and as close as possible to the F56 Cooper S, would see 245BHP with a Stage 1.

245BHP seems easily acheivable even with just a tuning box on them.

It looks like Evolve found a way to pretty much give you the 28i performance. In fairness theres quite a few companies offering "similar" from a remap - what appeals to me about the Evolve solution is that its non intrusive and you dont need to take the car to them - its all done through your own computer, a cable and the OBD port.

I've had my eye on this for mine, although in this current weather even in standard guise it suffers from a bit of torque steer. I bet it's mental trying to get the power down with that BHP! Good fun though! driving

I was thinking maybe around the 250bhp mark could be a better sweet spot, Superchips take it to around that.

Agreed.
