Siri Requires an Internet Connection

Any help appreciated. 2018 Cooper S with Apple Car Play. Phone has 5 bars of 4G, so max'd out, yet I stil get this when trying to access apps in ACP.

A complete guess, but is there a setting where you allow the car to access your phone's data connection? A bit like phone and music streaming are separate permissions.

Yes - all turned on. I did the obvious thing in the end, remove the device and re-paired. All sorted.
