Tyre replacement recommendations for 2017 Cooper S Clubman

The car needs new tyres and is currently on the 19" JCW wheels with runflats. Size is 225/35 R19.

I dislike runflats on any car and I want the new boots to be standard tyres.

I've seen a pretty vast range of decent from all the usual suspects.

Can anyone recommend a brand they've fitted please?

I could just default to Pilot Sports but I'd like to get some real world opinions first, not least because I'm not convinced the car merits the most expensive rubber.

We see lots of "tyres for XXX car" questions in specific forums on here, do you not think the question would be better in the "Suspension, brakes & tyres" section?

I ask because in real terms the car is far less relevant than the tyres I would have thought.

Not got a Clubman so cannot give you an opinion of tyres fitted to that version of Mini but I’ve got Goodyear Eagle F1’s on my Mini GP2. Had these tyres on many different cars and never let me down.

What do you want from a tyre? You will get more feedback on a proper Mini forum or group. For what it's worth I've got Hankook Ventus Prime 3 on our Countryman as a good value all rounder.

Same as in 17/18 on my F56 Jcw, good balance of quality vs value, I rate them better than the ps4 in 2022, when I had both on same set / style of wheels
They may not last quite as long as the Michelin, but that's a good thing if your driving less than 10k per year as keeps them fresh.
