2004 R50 Mini One Bluetooth Adapter

Hi All,

Just looking for a little advice really, my niece has just passed her driving test and has got a 2004 Mini One. She wants to stream her phone audio to the car (I suggested buying some CD's...) so has asked me if I can help arrange this.

I've been online and seen a variety of adapters and boxes etc. but I'd like to make sure I get the correct one for this model of car. I've seen some 'plug and play' inline adapters on Amazon for about £20.00 however according to the listing they are for cars fitted with navigation etc. this is just a bog standard car with a CD player.

If anyone has any experience and suggestions on which one to go for it would be greatly appreciated.

The car itself was about £350 so I don't want to spend a fortune...

I bought one of these although the two issues I have are poor volume unless turned up to max on 'Aux' (It then picks up on the adapter) and I am not sure if the microphone has detached on mine but the other person fails to hear me now. It was initially fine. I need to have another look at this.

You could just get this one but would need to adapt the current connector - soldering and wire splicing but at least it won't stick out at the back so far (a pain to slide the whole unit back in after fitting).

If that is above your budget I would suggest she pays towards it. She may appreciate it more that way and it is the best performing option.

It's all DiY with plenty of videos and write ups online.
