Chrome Mirror Covers

i've got a mini one (bought last November well happy with it hehe) and i got some chrome mirror covers to cover up the crappy looking black plastic of the originals.

it's been bugging me for a while now and i don't like the way you can tell there obviously stuck on when sat inside the car, also i accidently pushed one off with the jet hose last time i washed the car (whoops) which i managed to re stick back.

does anyone know where i can get covers that actually clip onto the mirror? i know this means unclipping the old ones which i guess is gonna be a pain in the butt.

mine is a 2005 facelift model and i think my mirror might be different from the earlier ones not sure. if someone can point me in the right direction of where i can get some chrome clip on covers that would help!

Taking the old ones off is fairly easy actually, you have to just leaver them off very carefully, so as not to crack the clips on them, you need something long, thin and flat to help you get the leverage, I used the handle of a tea spoon.

As for buying them, just keep an eye on eBay, or if you are willing to pay new prices call Chris at Derek Woodmans, say you got his details off MINI2.com and he gives a nice little discount of around 10% over other dealers.
