looking to buy a mini advice wanted please

hi everyone!
iam thinking of buying a mini cooper s.
dont know which model to get either the olders/c or the newer t/c.iam 1k short just now to be able to buy an 07 t/c model.
i can either get the 1st gen s/c which is well within my budget.
whats the tunability like for both versions whats the best buck per pound mods for each is one easier to tune than the other etc.
if the older one is easier and cheaper to get more power out of then that will be the one for me.....i thought turbod cars are good for getting loads more power.

is it worth considering a cooper s without chili pack?and what options do chili pack have performance wise eg supsension wheels etc
iam a total noob as you can tell hope someone has the answers iam looking for.

Hi

I am not really an expert on tuning but try Mini2.com for further advise. I do have a MCS for sale ('54' plate 36000 miles) which is prob less than you want to spend but is currently unmodified and would leave lots of money for tuning.

Also noticed you are based in Scotland - I am on the Isle of Wight. If you wanted to spend a long weekend away.... I can provide the car ferry tickets to get the car off the island.

Might be a long trip just to come and look at a car though....
