Hi all , looking for advice, have trawled through and gleaned quite a bit but a couple of extra questions.
Wife and I are coming from a B7 RS4 Avant and Volvo XC90. No real reasons other than time for a total change and wife is sick of lugging kids around in the Volvo and I use mine too much for work .

So looking to change to a 330 Estate and a Mini of some sort likely to be 57 or 08 ish.

Questions;

What is 'best' Cooper or S- Most of the driving will not be that spirited
Practicality (limited I know) but we have 2 young kids anyone use one with little things
What are the essential must haves- TLC, Chilli (what are they!) I have learnt .What else
What else should I be considering or warying of?

Thanks in advance

An r56 (later models) won't be as good for spirited driving, so you're probably right in what you're looking for there - cooper or cooper s is just a question of how fast you want it to be really! (The r53 is the better drivers car smile )

TLC is a servicing pack, 3 or 5 years (iirc) of free servicing from Mini.
Chilli is a spec pack which gives you all sorts of things like a/c, leather, heated seats etc. Not sure exactly what it consists of.

I suspect you're just around the corner from me (if your username is your village), so if you want to look at an r53 Mini to see what they're like / what you get for money etc let me know.
