Were to mount HID ballast?

i have purchased a HID kit for my 2002 MINI
but as you know the headlights go up with the bonnet meaning i cannot screw the ballast in place and the wires are too short to put them any were else in the engine bay.
can any one help to tell me how to mount them and were?

Sorry, This is a bit late...But i fitted HID's to my 2002 Cooper.

I removed the top half of the soundproof. Rigt next to the back of the headlight there was 2 holes nearly the exact length of the ballast and i fed cable ties through the holes and through the ballast. Perfect.

Make sure they are tight or they will rattle about.

Also, Make sure the soundproofing is back on properly.

Mine were they for 18 months till i traded it for a Cooper-S.
