Hi,

on the commute home this evening an oncoming car clipped my mirror as he swerved onto my side of the road to avoid a car parked in his path. Despite steering as tight as my reactions would allow into the gutter on my side of the road we clipped mirrors. He didn't stop (not that any good would've come from it I doubt). Anyway, my driver's side mirror was smashed into the side of my car and bits flew off in a loud smack. I retrieved the plastic aerodynamic bit of the mirror from the gutter and it has popped back into place despite one of the five fixings being snapped off. The "main part" of the mirror appears intact, I just popped it back out perpendicular to the car just fine, and the electric adjustment still works but the mirror glass is missing, presumed still flying through the air.

Does anyone know if I can buy just the mirror glass and what if any tools are needed to pop it back in place? Or am I looking at a whole new housing or garage assistance? Please say it snaps in place by hand and should cost me a fiver.

It's on a 54.

Many thanks in advance for the help.

You Sir, are a star. And I am an idiot for not going to ebay myself.

6 posts in 9 months? Are they all like this? Are you some kind of PH Guardian Angel swooping down as and when necessary? beer

I accept my post count isn't what it could be, but I'm working on it. Hopefully I'll be into double figures by the end of the year hehe.
