I've got it on my 2007 MCS - and apart from using it once or twice to see what it's like ~(and to accelerate using the buttons on the steering wheel) it's probably the only toy I don't use at all. Not sure whether it's possible to retrofit. Have you spoken to the dealer?

Like the previous poster, i also have it on my 02 plate MCS and my daily hack, Cruise control is useless in this country, once you are up to your desired speed some numpty will only pull in front of you or you will catch up to the inevitable 50mph lane 2 or 3 hogger, so you are just going to be on and off the resume button throughout your journey, on the continent however it works very well and gives your right foot a well earned rest, and i am ashamed to say, most europeans know how to drive a motorway properly.

Absolutely agreed, although for me, the main benefit of Cruise Control is that when you're in an average speed camera zone, you can just set it at 50 and not have to worry about straying over.

To the OP, to give you some idea of cost, there was a post in GG a few days ago from someone who suggested that their main dealer was looking for £350 to do a retro fit to an Audi. I'm guessing that if you go down the OEM route, you'll be looking at a new steering wheel as well as all the other modules etc, in which case you could be looking at significantly more. Probably worth a phonecall at least.

I have a feeling the official retro fit is £400 if you fit it yourself its still 1 hour BMW for flashing
I know you can do the retro fit yourself but there are a lot of wires.

I personally use mine a lot but then when I drive no one else is on the road or I am being an pain by setting it at 30mph. I find my MPG is much better on control too.
