Mini Cooper S Diagnostics Connector

HELP, does anybody know how to find OBD Diagnostics socket on 2002 cooper S, I have been told that its near the steering column behind a removable panel but I have looked everywhere both sides of car and can find nothing, I know people will think i'm a complete idiot but I just can't see it.

Get your head in the footwell follow the middle of the steering column down and you'll find a hatch marked OBD open it and inside is the connector

No problem, make sure you refit the flap otherwise it throws a fault code sometimes if something isn't plugged in.
