Evening all (and Merry Christmas!)

Due to impending baby arrival I'm planning on selling my MINI in the new year, but have no idea how it should be priced - the reason being I can't see anything of comparable age/mileage for sale... so thought the PH collective may be able to help.

It's a March 09 R56 MCS, with the JCW engine kit. Thing is, it has 18k miles on it, and haven't seen any other similar cars for sale to judge a price.

Other spec is:

Red/Black roof/stripes
MF wheel
17" crown spokes
Chili
Pan roof
Piano black trim
Bluetooth/USB
TLC etc

Any thoughts on what I should be aiming for as a private sale? I guess I'll get hammered on p/x values...

Thanks in advance

Bob

Between £15k and £20k, depending on what you will accept. Thats no use.

Actually surprised by some of the MCS prices I've just seen. I bought my R53 at 2 years old for about £13.5k. I found R56 MCS cars only 1 year old for less than £14k.

Also saw a godawful coloured one for over £30k. Unbelievable.

tough call

I was hoping to change to a MCS from my 09 cooper and BMW offered me sweet FA even though I got the car new from them and was going to buy a new MCS.

As for your price the JCW kit adds no value, only factory JCW cars are more money, it just means it might make yours better for resale, but then the mileage offsets that as it's so high for such a new car.

just price it 2k under a dealers MCS with normal miles i would say.

But bad time to sell cars atm and people just phone and offer peanuts.

Thanks for your replies.

I'd figured I was going to take a bath on it, given the high number of miles I'd put on it in a short period of time... I reckon the best plan may be to swap the wife's MINI for a barge, give her mine for a few months and let the miles even out - then sell mine in the spring.

I've not yet seen anything I fancy... just my usual itchy feet when it comes to cars!
