Clunk/Knocking noise..

Hi all, Recently noticed there is a clunking noise coming from either the front or back..quite hard to tell although I'm thinking it's more the back right, happens when i'm going over rough roads (everywhere at the mo). Any ideas what this could be?

Hello, most likely going to be the rear anti roll bar bushes that are worn. Get the BMW/Mini dealer to check them,should still be under warranty.

You didn't say which model it was. We've just had the rear anti-roll bar bushes replaced under warranty on our R56 for the same reason. IIRC there is a service bulletin in for this.

Sorry it's an R53, 03 plate cooper. So the fix will be coming out my pocket, hope it's not an expensive one.

first thing i would check is that are any of the wheels loose? have you had a puncure repair or new tyre? will not take five minutes to walk around the car and just check the bolts. had similar in the past

Checked the wheels, all solid. Looks like it's probably the bushes
