Park Lane seem to be good at adding 20 grand to the cost of a car just because they've put a silly wrap on it.

After fiddling around with the MINI site I struggled to break 30k for a JCW, so I can only assume that Park Lane are charging an extra 23k for black wheels, a garish orange wrap and some carbon JCW trim.
Think about that for a minute, twenty three grand, that's the cost of a second JCW and a few extras!

you cant get all the jcw carbon options through the config on the mini site so clearly every option has been added, although i am sure someone said this was total cost inc finance, so 41k ?

I work near Park Lane and have seen a few of their highly priced Minis. They have some with the most beautiful quilted leather seats and interior (looked like a friend's Bentley Mulliner although I can't comment on comparative quality) - and I have seen cars around the £40K mark where I can see how you could spend that money.
£53K is a bit of a mystery, but there are people for whom money is not an object who want a quality car for running around town in who will pay these prices and not blink an eye. Doesn't mean they are stupid, just that it doesn't matter to them.
If these kind of options are your thing - on the positive side you can pick up a second hand one at a huge discount on the original price.
