...........this!

I know the colours a little erm... different but I quite like things that are a little different. I'm a massive Porsche fan so possibly thats why I like the colour so much.

My 2004 Supercharged Cooper S has impressed me that much I've decided to get a newer one instead of something stupid like an Elise.

So are there any major differences between the Supercharged and Turbocharged models other than boring stuff like Co2 and fuel economy?

How unfair Soovy.

I think it looks really cool OP smile

things that are different..

Better ride, more refined on longer trips, less torque steer, less exhaust/engine noise frown, more speed, less steering feel.

An Elise is not stupid. Impractical yes but stupid no.

Being a past 111R Elise owner and now a supercharged Cooper S owner I feel I am well placed to say, Oi, don't put the Elise down. The Elise driving experience is second to non.

If you have bought for practical reasons then fair enough. Nice motor by the way and although the paint scheme is not my cup of tea it does look pretty cool and very unique.

Driven a few turbocharged variants and the all feel great. The torque delivery is great, they pull like a train compared to the supercharger variants but then you will be missing out on that lovely whine.

Enjoy your new motor.
I just meant stupid as a cabriolet Elise would be nicked far too quickly round where I live. The Elise is an incredible car, if a little basic and it would be a shame not to trackday it.

I think either way both the Elise and Cooper S have cracking chassis' and corner exceptionally well. I think I've just been hooked on the Go-Kart esque handling!

I wouldn't personally go for that colour scheme on a MINI, but I do like it. smile

Enjoy it!

That looks brilliant - I have looked at mine before and thought some strips along the bottoms of the door like that would look good.

Mines a rather more subtle grey / black though!!

why has it got us spec arches with the reflectors in them?

Err yes, quite significant differences in the power delivery, handling and feel of the car. They are fairly different cars.

It does have the JCW kit so whether or not that has anything to do with the US spec arches I'm unsure.
