iPhone in a Mini

I recently bought a Mini Cooper, and have the bluetooth telephone option. I originally managed to sync my iPhone with the communication system in the car, but it now regularly tells me that it cannot "find" my iPhone. The dealership is telling me that the iPhone is not on the list of the phones that the car is supposed to be able to sync with anyway. This doesn't sound right to me. Has anybody else had a similar problem...? Or does anybody else's iPhone work perfectly...?

Certainly our iphone doesnt work with the ipod integration part of our DAB stereo and the dealer said they dont support it, we ended up with a parrott kit....

My iphone works perfectly with the bluetooth in my Mini.

Could be a version thing - my car is August 2008 build, with a 32g 3GS iphone running whatever the current software version is.

My iPhone works perfectly with my 09 jcw.I've got the iPhone cradle in the centre armrest-Bluetooth mates up perfectly
