Quick Question, I can hear a noise like a pocket full of change when I go over bumps. It sounds like it comes from the rear, sometimes the left-side, sometimes the right-side.

I tend to only notice it with the windows down, so I'm thinking it's either just a normal noise the suspension makes under compressions / expansion, or something like a loose exhaust bracket.

Any ideas?

Have you got a sunroof?

It could also be one of the exhaust hangers, get someone to follow you and see if the exhaust is wobbling over bumps, the standard exhaust has mild steel straps holding it on and they're useless.

Nope, no sun-roof.

I'll give the exhaust a good prod this evening, but I don't know if it'll weigh too much for me to be able to make a difference. Good idea on the getting someone to follow me, will have to find someone to do so smile

The problem with shoving it is that if only one bracket has gone it's more of a twist than a bounce.
Alternatively look under the back and you might be able to see.

Loose curtain airbag maybe.

Mine jiggles about and makes an annoying noise as its worked loose from its bracket, over time. Not sure how to fix.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm sure the noise is coming from the outside-rear of the car, which leads me to believe it's it's the rear suspension / exhaust.

Edited for being ham-fisted with the keyboard.
