No power? Help please.

I hope you guys can help. I said I'd ask the people in the know about a fault they are having with their car. Occasionally she gets to the car the central locking wont open, the light wont come on on entry and the car is completely dead, wont even turn over. But at the same time she sat in it for ten minutes then it started, just came back to life (she reckons during this time she wiggled the steering column, ignition fault?). Is this an electrical fault or as simple as a dying battery. Any help is appreciated, cheers

Not had similar experience but I know that if the steering wheel lock is on after removing the fob and the wheels are turn kind of then the electronic steering wheel lock will not let go. For this you have to remove the fob and move the steering wheel loose and then put the fob in; this should deal with that part.
When I got mine I was on the ferry from Calais and after a long 4 hour drive, the car lost all power.it just had about enough to unlock, yet, the clocks and other settings were gone. This was down to a power drain somewhere, eventually it started with some kind words of encouragement. I reckon any longer and it would of been completely dead.
All I can suggest is that you can make an appointment at the shop and for them to plug in their computer. They did this with mine and sorted it. What is the case here is that they will need the car for a few hours so that they charge the battery to full and then see how it looses power if it is. If the vehicle is under warranty, then there is no cost for the service and parts.
