What's my car worth? Sell back to dealer?

Hi,

I have a 58 plate Cooper S in laser blue which I'm looking to sell. A main dealer has offered me £13k for it and will come and collect it. This seems hassle free in terms of options. I've noticed a few Cooper S's at around the £15k for the Park Lane edition with under 10k miles.

Mine is:
Dec 08 Registered
Black leather interior
Ipod integration
Winter / visibility pack
Chilli Pack
21 k miles and balance of 5 years TLC.

What do you reckon I would get for it privately?

I'm keen to get rid fairly quickly as I'm paying £150 insurance pm. So the longer I keep it the more it'll cost me.

It's about bang on for average condition according to Glasses via Vauxhall website. I expect you could get up to 15k for it privately but you'd need to wait. Have you tried other dealers?

I've been offered £14000 by a main dealer. Dropping off the car this weekend. Can't moan at that, really, given that there are plenty of similar examples around for not a great deal more even at a main dealers.

Sounds like you've done well with 14k. They must want it for whatever reason, And its not far off what you would have got for it privately minus the hastle and haggling.

Yeh, they've somebody lined-up to buy it. Not that there's anything to do on the car, but there can't be massive margins in these things. I only paid around £1500 for it myself.
