Hated the run flats on previous Mini (Cooper) and having upgraded to a Cooper S Works we'd like opinions on alternative tyres for the 17" wheels. As we have a COSTCO account Michelins would be good buy if they are available in correct size and are suitable for the S Works.

If anyone reading this is running a late model (2009) S Works what tyres are you using, have they transformed the ride and handling for the better?

Have 18" wheels on my S Works; ditching the run flat Dunlops SP Sports for "normal" Dunlops 215/40R18 really transformed the car, it's amazing!

With the run flats the suspension was soooo hard; now it's a lot quieter, much more comfortable, the car feels very relaxed in stead of jumping over potholes etc. But it still has the same huge grip.
