Sun roof tilt

I have a 01 Mini One with a full length sun roof, should both parts tip up? The back looks like it may do.

Not on this car, I am miising somthing or its not playing ball.

I have a mini with a full length sun roof. The front will tilt and fully retract but as far as I see the rear is fixed.

Sounds like yours is the same?

The rear part of the sunroof is definitely fixed and cannot be moved. We specced one from new. Just keep the runners lubed every now and again, as overtime the mechanism can become juddery.

What is the best stuff to keep it lubed? Ours is starting to sound a little 'grindy' when retracting? Bog standard grease?

hi steve, i used a light lithium based grease... I got some in a spray can from halfrauds but cannot remember the brand name at the mo. Wait till i get back home tomorrow and i'll let you know.

Now whether its the right stuff or not i don't know but it got rid of the juddering on our sunroof.
