Exhaust Bracket & R/H MUffler - Cooper S

My wife's 2003 MINI Cooper S needs a new right hand side exhaust bracket and I've also noticed the silencer is corroded at the seam.

I've searched Google and can't find the standard OEM parts I need - just lots of Miltek type performance exhausts which she doesn't want.

She's just about to trade in the car, but there will be an MOT due first. Where's the best place to buy a standard replacement hanger and silencer without having to bend over at the dealers?

There are a number of companys how have adverts in the new mini mag (I think its new mini?). So it would be worth looking for a copy. Also try your local car parts factor Unipart etc. Most will be happy to do trade or DIY (Trade normly get delivery). Look in the yellow pages for car parts. Good luck.

Had a similar problem on the wifes 2003 S
motor factors don't carry them yet - I tried Europarts and Allparts with no luck
Main dealers will rip you off as usual - the support strap/bracket is actually listed in 2 sections upper and lower and priced individually
around 28 quid as far as I can remember. Quite a pain to fit as well
ended up taking old one off and welding it for now as both boxes are de-laminating so will need to be replaced soon unless we can sell it first (I wish)

Thanks for the advice. I bought the bracket from BMW - about £30 including top and bottom bracket and bolts.

The silencer is delaminating but not blowing so can wait for now.
