Mini : Panoramic Sunroof & Heated Seats ..wanted & a quest.

Hi Everyone,

My wife's 02 Cooper is due for a change. Its a fabulous car and with an amazing spec .. climate, panoramic sunroof and heated seats amongst a long list. We want to get a similar spec again but in a slightly newer model (although not brand new) and as a minimum it will need to be manual, sunroof & heated seats. We have used some of the usual search engines (Compuserve, Autotrader, Parkers etc) but they only allow you to search on one 'extra' and the Mini Cherished website is equally unhelpful. So we have resorted to reading through every ad ... and there are loads.

So my question is this ... anyone know of a really good way of search the UK used mini-stock on two filters and, since I don't reckon it can be done, does anyone know if heated seats can be retrofitted to Coopers by BMW (not 3rd party companies) since when we have waded through the stock there are lots with S/Rs but none (so far) with S/Rs and Heated seats! I have rung BMW and one franchise told me that it could be done but wasn't sure about the detail (and being a BMW dealer never rang me back of course!) and one was adamant that it could not be done.

I have just bought my wife a Cooper S cab it is fitted with Nav, HK, and just about everything else but heated seats which she really wanted. I have looked at quite a few threads on various Mini forums and it seems that you can buy the parts from Mini to retrofit but it is not a straight forward job and with Mini labour rates it is unlikely to be worth doing. But if you hear differently from Mini please let me know!
