Hi guys and girls

Have a slight problem with my baby(cooper s 2003), everytime, I go above 5,500/6,000 revs, car goes into limp home mode, EML(?)light comes on and restricted to 25mph. Stop the car, restart it and she's fine. Car been into BMW twice and they have no idea what the problem.

Any ideas?

cheers

No fault codes stored?

It is very rare to not store a fault if the EML light comes on.

Hopefully BMW would have checked out the fault codes....or maybe not!!!

Is there any "easy" way to check the map sensors?

OBD II is the only way, there is not a visual check, best thing it to try someone else's if you can
