Huge drop in MPG MINI Cooper D
Discussion
Anybody got any ideas why my car might be suffering from a sharp drop in MPG?
It is a 2008 MINI cooper D auto that usually gets me about 40-45 mpg. At the last service (about 8000 miles ago) it had a diesel injector loose which they apparently sorted out. Even this didn't cause an MPG drop like what I have now. It is now struggling to return much more than 35MPG. I haven't changed anything on the car or my driving style as far as i'm aware.
Even when cruising on the Motorway at an indicated 75 (actual of about 69/70) it is returning around 40mpg (taken from the on board thing)
I have checked the brim to brim maths against the mileage per tank and it always seems to add up as near as makes no difference correct.
