As per title I have just bought my daughter a mini one for her 18th & the only thing I need is to replace the passenger door mirror. The one that is on is taped up as it was knocked off.
Electric mirror still works so just need to replace mirror.
Also anywhere recommended to buy from cheapest I can find is £73.
Is this a simple DIY job or not?

I once tried to change the drivers door mirror on an e39 5 series, turned into a nightmare! Ended up paying a mobile mechanic to do it, cost me £45.

The biggest issue was finding all the clips on the door panel. If I were doing it again I wouldnt even try myself.

You can get a whole second hand mini mirror replacement quite easy, they are not too hard to change though, just be careful as pull the old one out

It is very straightforward just fold the mirror in and you will see the mounting bolts. I got mine from BMW as the EBay ones had a different shaped shell so I could not use my chrome caps on them (It is a JCW though so Mini One may be fine). I replaced my drivers side as the it would not fold in using the button in the car.

if the caps were different you used the wrong model ie not 2000 - 2006 shape you must have used 2006+

The whole mirror is easy as you say above but the actual mirror its self is a little tricky but can be done, it is only clipped on the rear, but getting the glass out without breaking the clips is the hard part. got no real tips on it as I have only done once
