try this

it's quite good.

Best idea is catch the show at dawn on Sat or Sun. The sky is just starting to get blue; add the balloons, the noise and the smell of burnt fuel and it is very enjoyable.

Normally do it with my dad then grab a little chef breaky - sort of tradition now

Good place to watch used to be the car park at KUS, right on the top of a hill. amazing sight seeing the balloons appear out of the middle of town , think that they shut the carpark now tho
We also now have rthe added bonus of living 5 mins walk from the racecourse so don't need to muck around parking

Oi! stop bickering you two! Thanks for the info. Back on the farm i could sometimes see the balloons whilst the combine! (august=harvest) We lived between desborough and corby and the prevailing wind was from the northampton direction. Even had a couple land in our neighbour`s fields. Looks like i can make it this year.

You held a run in a pub ???

Was that so you didn't fall too far behind?

Just been looking at the trade pack,
It's not all that expensive to get a PH 'stand' with a few motors on it !
5m x 5m is £240, would only really get 2 cars on it tho.
6m x 9m is £605

Speak to the big boy Ted before doing anything like that but it is quite a good idea!

I've been in contact with the council about us taking some cars to the balloon festival to make a small car show in a roped off area.
We've crossed the feasibility border and so are up to them basically saying yes, there's a space if you want it.

I'm thinking that the Saturday is the best day to do it. It's 19th August.

Here's the catch.... The cars cannot be moving on the showground while it's open, ...so
that means we have to have the cars in and arranged by 10am, then leaving at 11pm. (I will see if I can work on this !)

So, is anyone else up for a bit of premiership showing off !!!!!!

how many cars will there be space for?
I wouldnt normally consider going for it, but with the timescales, we may have something that goes faster than 0-60 in 7 seconds by then!
