Sorry but, although I love athletics and other able bodied Olympic events, I have no interest in the paralympics whatsoever. Am I a bad man?

you do realise the paralympics is not the Speshul Olympics don't you...

Paralympic athletes are just as serious athletes as their 'able bodied' compatriots

I have exactly as much interest in the paralympics as I do in the olympics. fk all, but at least I don't discriminate.

Of course, I have total admiration for all those taking part, I realise that many of the athletes have had to endure all kinds of obstacles and in some cases pain and suffering to get to the levels that they have now reached. I just can't get into it like I can able bodied sports.

maybe watch wheelchair rugby AKA murderball. its cross between basket ball and american football (theres nothing rugby about it at all its just a marketing name). fully armared chairs with rams on the front smashing the s**t out of eachother.
im a paralympic swimmer but i also play murderball. ok yes i agree paralympic swimming/athletics ect might not be to everyones taste but you cant tell me that a bunch of (mainly) crazy ex rugby players let loose in fully armered chairs hittin eachother with more Gs than a F1 driver experiences isnt entertining???

just my 2 cents biggrin

I know a several disabled discus throwers, one of whom has only one leg.

To achieve what they do is humbling in my opinion, in a sport which is hard enough for the able bodied!

Yes, I will be watching smile

I know a couple of the sprinters so will definitely be watching. Hopefully Ben Rushgrove can set another new world record and take the gold!
