The organisers were confused by the word "Democratic" in the name of the country when searching for the appropriate flag.

Bod 1: "North Korea? We don't have a North Korea!"
Bod 2: "We've got these two flags boss, this one is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, this one is..."
Bod 1: "North Korea are that strange country, defintely not democratic. Use the other one."
Bod 2: "Ok boss."

It was shown on big screens. The graphic was prepared by LOCOG independently of the venue.

The actual flags flown at Hampden were quite correct.

Your take on this is inaccurate and a wee bit insulting.

LOCOG were offered advice from an outfit who specialise in flag recognition, cant recall the name, it was on Radio 2 earlier, the company involved who offered their services never heard back from LOCOG, pity.

Me thonks one of many cock ups we will see in the next two weeks.

I do hope when they show the Union Flag, they get it the right way up.
