Summer Holiday has fallen through (passport disaster!) so looking for cool days out for the kids - whats wakeboarding like? They are all good swimmers and it looks cool...also something I could do with them?

Is it fun or does it get boring quick (unless you're behind a boat in Miami!)

Its brilliant fun. There are two good ones near London (Thorpe Waterski and Princes Club) which are both excellent.

However, how young are the kids? Wakeboarding isnt that hard but i found it pretty difficult to pick up at first. Truth be told im still pretty crap....

Its easier behind a cable as there is no 'wake' getting in the way, although that is sort of the whole point of the sport gone..... hehe

Its reasonably expensive though - circa go-karting time/cost prices I think, havent been for a while.

Yeah. It becomes waterboarding... and that's not something anyone would be happy with you doing to your kids. biggrin

Sure, sure, fatty. Why don't you call the local centre and see what they say?

Wow....harder than I thought!

2 hours on the kneeboard and now ready for bed! (felt bad for fat lady who got yanked off the dock everytime with her board never getting wet!)
