Don't know if this has been done, is allowed, anyone cares?

Obviously with caveats, gamble aware, know your limits etc.

Just a place to share any bets you've made on sporting events and their outcomes, or maybe a tip for the 2:30 at Plumpton.

I chucked a tenner on Dave Gilbert to win the world championship snooker. He went from 66/1 before playing a shot, to 100/1 after 1 frame and 200/1 early in the second - all in the time it took me to set-up a betting app. Bet was entirely based on a tenuous link to a similarly named college classmate back in the eighties (and DG seems a nice chap)

There's a lad at work with a big old gambling debt, so absolutely this is a fun thread. Don't make bets based on the postings of PHers.

I get what you mean about making bets based on gut feelings or random connections. I once placed a small bet on a football match because the team shared the same name as my childhood street. It didn’t work out, but it made the game more fun to watch.
