Irish middle distance runner, European 1500m champion in 2024 very sadly lost to cancer at just 34. Married only last month so sadly it seems they may have known. Some great races with Georgia Bell and Laura Muir in recent years but obviously nothing since her diagnosis a couple of years ago.
I don't think we knew how poorly she was, maybe that's what they wanted.
