Permanent Footy Forum after the World Cup

Can of worms well and truly open...

I know this is a car forum and that many people don't like football, but the Football Thread and the World Cup forum seem to have awakened a common interest in a lot of PHers. I have added to the Football Thread but it is all a bit mix and match with everything about Football in one thread. Maybe time for a new forum as this one seems to have worked so well....

What do PHers say?

I don't generally like footie unless it's a major tournament such as the Euro's or the world cup but I think it would be a good idea.

On the upside it keeps football chat out of the P&P so everyone's a winner.

Bloody good idea Ben,i was going to post a similar thread around the end of this campaign,i mean this sort of forum could cover Premiership,Championship,leagues,non league,international football also Prediction league,transfers,boss appointments etc etc.

I could understand Teds concerns before,just incase it got out of hand but i think we are all grown up enough to know how to banter and conduct our selves in an acceptable manner without vexing the system.

Like it. The footy thread's a bit much when it's everything in one thread, and it's a bit of a git having to look through 70+ pages to see if you're point's been addressed or you're in danger of repeating someone. There are a number of non-motoring fora on PH, so why not a footy one?

Adding my support, too. Being able to discuss each Premiership weekend in its own thread and major games and all that outside of P&P would keep a lot of people happy for different reasons.
