Cardiff must have turned down Carrick first.

United need another striker, not to get rid of Smith. Rossi has already been loaned out.

What's going on?

Can only assume that SAF has someone lined up in Jan. But thats a while away. Not a Man Utd fan myself, but SAF must know what he is doing. Thats Smith on loan and ofcourse RVN went earlier.

I would have thought however that Smith would have been someone to hold onto for this season as it looks like its going to become a right battle with Chelski for the title and there will be some gritty matches. SAF must assume that Rooney will hold his temper.

Smith was subbed against Southend and the couple of times he has come on in games this season, has looked way below what he was before the injury....Fergie will have to buy if he is going to out Gun chelski

Smith needs regular football to get back his form. A spell on loan will do him good.

Cannot see Ridsdale Appealing to Smith. IF he has a choice I should imagine Leeds will be it.
