Totally off topic but wtf was going on with Alan Hansen's stubble/makeup it was attrocious. And he had some sort of thing hanging off his lip too.

Decent match so far, good to see joe cole making some play too. If only he had the ability to stay on his feet and not protest to the ref he'd be far less frustrating to watch.
Still, I suppose that's partly down to the fact he'll run in and get stuck in with a couple of the German players.

Linekar commented on this during MOTD, Hansen said he'd had an accident which involved a candle.

Why can england not play ANY decent flowing football?

When going forward and have a chance to put some pressure on they end up playing the ball back.

Zackly what I was sayin to the missus. For a moment it looked like a "Late goal saves England blushes" scenario. Not good. I was hoping - like you - that Ze Germanz scored a few more and made total asses of England.

One of the bggest problems was that the midfield were playing in line with the defense half the time. If we can get them to trust the defenders to bring the ball out then we can push up a bit more and not sit back and allow the opposition to keep coming back at us.

I thought Richards had a great game, SWP didn't do too badley either.
