+1

The guy was a genius with a club. You could always spot his match when watching the Open as it would be the only one deep in the rough biggrin Amazing recovery abilities when at the top of his game.

Just read that the hospital are saying he is "gravely ill" and that his family have been summoned to the hospital, must be some sort of inoperable brain tumor, doesn't sound good though.

A bump in time, sadly Seve's condition has worsened severely according to Sky Sports News.

Announced by Kirsty Gallacher, ironically, considering her father and Seve would have played regularly against one another.

Come on Seve, one big fight!! frown

Agreed, what a Gentleman. I've had two people I knew die of cancer recently, and I hope my old hero Seve isn't the third in as many months. It doesn't look good though and they say bad things come in threes. I'll be thinking of him today.

He's had a hell of a few years fighting illness. A true sporting legend and a gentleman loved his interview last year or so he was just so positive.Good luck to him in his fight if its just down to guts and character then I'd back him everytime.

Just read the news and it's terribly sad.

I saw him once at a tournament and was mighty impressed, what a talent and a nice guy. My brother had the good fortune to spend a day with him as his driver some years ago and by all accounts he was the an absolute gentleman - Paul is a massive Seve fan and was absolutely chuffed to bits to spend that time with him.

You will be missed Seve frown

RIP.
