Snowboarding Q - Heavenly or Mammoth

Booked our flights to San Fran for xmas and are now looking for accommodation but can't pick between the resorts? anyone done both?

ps 4 very experienced riders, 2 second timers

So far I have

Heavenly:
+Closer to airport
+Casino (state line)
+bigger ski area / backcontry

-Remote


Mammoth:
+Accom is mostly Ski in Ski out
+Village - walking distance - with pavements and everything (bit like whistler I guess)
+3 hours to Vegas

-5 hour drive
