I've narrowed my choices to these two. Price is very similar. I think there's supposedly aroung 100g-150g weight difference but is that really anything to worry about?

I want the "Sexy Time" design of the 'Trace' but the 'Skycap' is supposedly very light. Again, I'm not sure of either's weight.

This is the design I want of the 'Trace:'

But if I get the Skycap, this will be the design:

I've only ever had skycap, don't wear a helmet all the time but it's a great piece of kit.

I wouldn't be worried at all about the weight of it, they weight nowt anyway and much like a bike helmet you rarely notice it's there once it's been on for a bit.

Skycap come highly recommended from me smile

Go with the one that fits the best and make sure you try on with goggles for a good fit, i.e no gap between the top of the goggles and the lid.

Shak - I've got a Skycap and it's a no-nonsense piece of kit. Fits my bonce really well and doesn't get too hot.

Those are both bound to be plenty light enough. I bought a Red helmet about 4 years ago and it still surprises me how light it is.

The most important thing is the fit, both on your head and around your goggles. Take your goggles to the shop and play around with them.

I have six year old skycap and to mirror the above is quite light in comparison to whats available now.

I always ride waring one now as i have to many close calls in the past. You want one with detachable ear covers for the warmer or snow dome days

You'd be suprised how different many helmets feel even at the same size.
