Yes, I'm bored at work!

Obviously very subjective, but who comes across as quite bright?

My vote is for Pat Nevin of Chelsea, Everton and Scotland.

Graeme Le Saux seems quite bright, struggling to think of a current player to be honest.

I've got to admit that I know very little about football, and I view most footballers as boorish, loud mouthed, over paid plebs who would make excellent cannon fodder. However, whilst listening to the radio the other day, an American chap who plays for Aston Villa (I believe) was interviewed and he came across as genuine, well spoken, well mannered and intelligent. I was quite suprised.

I have no idea what he was called, but compared to the one who likes like Shrek, he seemed like a genius.

That sounds like the Goalie, Brad Friedel.

I jsut found out that Roy Hodgson is fluent in a number of (quite hard) languages like Norwegian.

Doesn't Steve Coppell have an economics degree, or similar?

OK, he hasn't played for a little while, but still counts in my book. smile

Apparently Fat Frank has the IQ of Carol Vorderman - I st you not. Chelsea did some kind of analysis on the team and he came out tops - MENSA material. yikes

Alledgedly they call him 'The Professor' around the club now.

Most premiership footballs earn between £30,000 and £150,000 per week for kicking a ball around a couple of times a week, and are able to retire in comfort at the age of 35, which I suggest is better than the lot of most people reading this........

Who's intelligent now?............smile

Lucky footballs man. If they have it so good, I wonder what rugby balls make?

Didi Hamann is quite the stockbroker.

Iain Dowie comes across as quite bright too, didn't he come up with the word "Bouncebackability" and it is now in the Oxford Dictionary?
