British 10K London Run 2009 12th July
Discussion
Hi all,
Pistonheads seems to be the place to talk about just about anything so I thought I would start a thread about the British 10K London run in July.
I'm going to be running and it's going to be just about my longest distance ever! It's not a marathon but I'm definitely no marathon runner!
I'm after tips and advice, in training so far I've done upto 3.5K. Is anyone else doing this event? What have you done before?
I am running for charity - on behalf of the Meniere's Society, who fund research and provide help and support for sufferers Meniere's disease, an inner ear condition characterised by vertigo, tinnitus and deafness. It is a little known but debilitating and restrictive condition. There are approximately 10 thousand sufferers in the UK. The charity is funded entirely by donations and doesn't receive any money from the government. Smaller charities really need the help and every donation makes a difference.
I would be overjoyed if any of you were to sponsor me!
