Keep the Test matches at the best grounds in the country in my view - it'll be like F1 next with host cities greasing the ECB's palm to get a Test match.

Old Trafford is traditionally fast and bouncy - a shoe-in if you're facing a South Asian team but not so wise against a team with players brought up on these types of pitches. Could be a blessing in disguise. Fwiw, I like Old Trafford and it's a shame it's not getting a test.

Given that the attendance at OT has been pants for a while, its hardly surprising that the ECB has looked elsewhere.

However, both Chester-le-Street and the Rosebowl have better credentials than Sophia Gardens.
