Hi all,

I need to get myself some running clothes. I have started doing some hill/fell running and need to get myself some trousers/leggings that will protect my legs from the wind/sun/bracken/brambles (delete where applicable).

I would imagine that they will want to be leg hugging rather than loose, but need to be fairly resilient to brambles etc. Don't care about the spikes coming through and getting me, but I would prefer the clothes to hold up.

Also, I need a fleece. Something lightweight and maybe windproof. This will only be used when its mega windy and cold (like yesterday on Dartmoor - 0 degrees with strong easterly winds!)

What would you lot recommend, and where can I get them from?

I use Nike DriFit leggings and have a thin Gore RunningWear wind-resistant top. You can get this sort of stuff from any specialist running store, like Sweatshop for example.

i use prodirect running for some stuff, their "own brand" Do Running range is pretty good and (as ashamed as i am to admit it) you can get really good stuff from some sports direct shops. if you can bear hunting around in there, they often have some good technical running gear tucked away.
