It must get a bit confusing at times. Polish/Spanish goalkeeper; French/Dutch-speaking defenders, Spanish/Czech/Brazilian/Russian midfielders... Must be hard work at times, trying to motivate, or organise the team?

Polak Fabianski shouts at his defenders as he tried to organise the back line, Dutch/Flemish-speaking Belgian Vermaelen asks, "What did he say?" and William Gallas replies, "Don't ask me, I'm French."

No wonder Arshavin didn't mind being put up-front on his own hehe

Having heard peter beardsley try to speak english I'm not surprised the foreigners have trouble understanding each other.

Ive also thought it would make things more interesting if teams could only recruit players from a set catchment area near to the club (varying catchment area sizes depending on division etc)

Similar to how you have to be english to play in the english team etc

I know this idea is highly impractical btw
