Been going a week now and what a week!

From Wiggins taking the prologue to the mental street furniture in Holland and the constant crashes, the wind causing big issues on the coastal stage, the TTT with Vino going mental at his teammates and then Saturday's stage on the muddy roads used in the Strada Bianchi. That stage has to have been one of the best Grand Tour stages in recent memory, it was truly epic. Yesterday wasn't bad either and the proper mountains haven't even begun yet!

The only shame is that a few of the 'favourites' have had some big time put into them - Vino is looking very strong, but Evans is riding very well and wearing the rainbow jersey with pride.

And the Tour of California organisers (and Lance) reckon that is the second most important race in the world? You are having a laugh.

It's has been an exciting race so far, the remaining time trials and mountain stages can only make it better, it's going to be an excellent final week.

Bradley has slipped down to 23rd. Interesting to see Basso lurking in 3rd. Sastre may pull something out of the bag. Vino still in there.
