I'll hold my hands up and admit this. I'll watch a game or two if nothing else is on, but don't particularly care and am not excited at the forthcoming festival of staying off work on made up sick leave and intense debate about people I've never even heard of.

However, I am also aware that other people find cars and Motorsport boring. That's OK too. But some people don't seem to understand this. Why is it assumed that as a bloke you are automatically assumed to be fanatically passionate about a particular team and can discorse freely about how we've been robbed so many times in the past and that England are going to win it again this year.

In particular, this applies to taxi drivers in London, who assume that a tip is likely to be more forthcoming from someone who neither understands nor cares what you are on about, has just finished an 18 hour day and quite clearly was trying to read a book and hence stops responding.

Am I the only one who just isn't that bothered?

Nope, the only thing that would make it interesting would be seeing Shrek getting banned from football for life, so his ugly fking dial isn't on TV every 10 minutes.

Couldn't give a st either.

Nearly all my friends are into football though. Luckily, they understand that I'm not interested and that any attempts to talk about it will get no response.

Thats a game or two more than me then!

..however, even though F1 gets branded a 'snooze fest' I'll be watching all practice sessions, quali and get up early if its a fly-away race.

According to my driver's mate, who supports Chelsea City United or something, they have a player they're getting rid of because he wants £150k a week, but they're only prepared to pay him £90k a week.

Barmy.

Edited for stray apostrophe.

Neither my Dad or my Hubby are interested in footie and they notice this assumption, we (I) may watch England if they get to the semis just to be patriotic!

They both like motorsports, my Dad more so and Dad follows cricket (as do I)

Yeah, what is all that about? I was once called a "fking homo who deserved a head but" just because I said I don't like watching over paid bawbags kicking a ball about.

It's obscene. Sickening. Being paid stupid amounts of money just to accurately kick a bloody ball around is the biggest joke going.

Do these people save lives? Change the world? Do they actually contribute to the advancement of society?

No, they're thick s who didn't do too well at school and discovered that they can control their feet. Then they got lucky. Very lucky.

Compare what Mr. Rooney gets paid to what a humble nurse at your local A&E gets paid and explain to me who does the more important job.

...but there is a fair chance the nurse will still have a job when she gets to 35 and still be able to sustain the lifestyle she is accustomed too.
