As a member of the goalkeepers union,I cringed last night, but realised we have gone full circle.
Even ITV were at it, with a hastily put together half-time piece showing recent English goalkeeping howlers (Carson,James,Robinson and now Green)....While taking no satisfaction,I wondered if a few Scottish goalkeepers were quietly bemused at being usurped from the no1 slot ?

Probably because the best British 'keeper is Craig Gordon (also the most expensive), he's not flash but much better than Green and James. I hope for England's future that Hart gets a regular game as he has a lot of potential but I think he needs to leave Man City to do fulfill it.

When was the last Scottish 'Scottish goalkeeper'?
Was it Jim Leighton screwing up at Man Utd in the early 1990s?

Good observation, English keepers are the new 'Scottish goalkeepers'.

IMO Scottish international goalkeepers have been better than their English counterparts for the last 20 years. Having said that its not hard being better than Seaman, James, Robinson and Green...

Scotland have had some great keepers over the last 20 years and in Craig Gordon they currently have the best British keeper, certainly better than what England have at this time.
